Audio Conferencing
Audio conferencing allows you to to have a telephone conference with one or more people. Only domestic U.S. calls are available.
Audio conferencing services may be arranged with CSR with at least two business days advance notice. These services may be made available in any classroom, break room or office within the Anderson complex.
We currently use Polycom SoundStation VTX 1000s speakerphones. This station allows conference call participants to speak at a normal, natural conversation level and be heard clearly from up to 20 feet (6 meters) away from the microphone.
Request Guidelines
- Requests need to be made with at least 24-hour advance notice. Requests made with less than 24-hour notice will be accommodated if time permits.
- The service is available to faculty, staff and PhD students. In the case where an MBA, FEMBA, EMBA or MFE student needs teleconferencing, a staff member will need to make the request on behalf of the student.
- The request will need to list the NAME OF THE PERSON requesting the service, DATE, TIME START/END and PLACE (ROOM NUMBER).
- In the event that the conference call starts before or after CSR service hours, prior arrangement needs to be made for someone to pick up the unit and deliver it back to CSR.
- Please put in a request via it.anderson.ucla.edu or email it.servicedesk@anderson.ucla.edu. If the request is last-minute, please also call us.
Single Call (One-to-One)
We will deliver a Polycom Soundstation for teleconferencing at the time and location specified on the request and provide a dial-in number. Like with office phones, to dial out, please enter 81, then the number (e.g. 81.310.825.4321).
Conference Call (Multiple People)
If you need a conference where more than one person dials in, you will need to create a Zoom meeting, then dial into the Zoom meeting on the Polycom Soundstation. Like with office phones, to dial out, please enter 81, then the number (e.g. 81.310.825.4321).
