What is Mediasite?

Mediasite is a lecture capture platform used at Anderson to record and stream class lectures. The presentations will record the displayed content on the podium side-by-side with a video of the individual giving the presentation.

Where is Mediasite available?

Cameras are in all classrooms: A201, A202, B117, B301, B313, C301, C315, Korn Hall, D301, D307, D310, D313

What will the camera detect?

Cameras capture the podium and center whiteboard.

What audio will be detected?

Audio is detected through three inputs.

  • Button mic installed on the podium.
  • Lapel wireless mic.
  • Ceiling mic arrays.

System Requirements for Video Playback
A stable internet connection and an updated internet browser.

How to Schedule a Recording

When you schedule your class or event in the Room Scheduling System (EMS), you can select Mediasite Recording from Other Information. If you missed entering this, you can contact us to schedule a recording with the course number, room number, date, and start and stop times.

How to Start a Last-Minute Recording

If you decide to record a lecture last-minute, you can start and stop a manual recording from the podium.

1. Click on Mediasite on the lectern touch panel.

2. Press Record.

3. When done, press Stop.

4. Contact us with the following information to publish the recording and provide a link.
