What do I need to bring to class?
In addition to your course materials, ensure you should have the following to join the class:
- Your fully-charged laptop.
- Your fully-charged mobile device, as a backup.
-
UCLA Logon credentials to access eduroam Wi-Fi.
_
What do I need to do in the classroom?
Shared content will be projected in the room with audio; classroom microphones are always on and will pickup in-person questions. The microphones are sensitive enough to pick up side conversations, so please keep this in mind when you're in the classroom.
You don't need to but can choose to connect to the class Zoom meeting while in the classroom. If you choose to do so, to prevent Zoom audio feedback with the room and your peers' laptops:
- Make sure your computer (or phone) volume is set to 0/off.
-
Join the class Zoom session. Do not join audio on your computer.
ⓘ If your computer joined audio automatically, you can Leave computer audio from the audio icon in the Zoom client.
-
To communicate with the class, use the Chat in Zoom OR speak up in the classroom.
